So I had a unit of Saurus Warriors absolutely steamrolled by Chaos Knights last night. That unit seems to always be rolling about 12-13 attacks that hit on 3's and wound on 2's. With -4 to the armour save (S7 ) there isn't much that's going to get any kind of save whatsoever. I lost 9 Saurus to that charge, out of a unit of 18 that's sort of a big deal. Since I had spears I did get to attack back with a couple guys but with a 1+ armour save and T4 only dumb luck is going to net me any kills at all (indeed luck was not even with me).
Obviously the best way to deal with them is to not have them charge you to begin with. I've been experimenting with skirmishers for redirecting charges but it turns out that is fairly tricky and it's going to take some practice. Lore of Metal would work very well I'm sure, as would bolt throwers and cannons.
How do you guys deal with this crazy unit? You're simply the next meal for my carnosaur.Warhammer Fantasy Army: Tomb Kings, Lizardmen, Dwarfs 40K Army: Tyranids

Skinks attack the rear...It's never failed Phil! A unit of 3 Salamanders is devastating too!

A unit of 3 salamanders I could see. But a rear charge of skinks??! The Chaos player must have had the worst armour saving rolls of all time! Not too mention forgetting to attack back entirely. lol

deamons of chaos magic worked for me haha, but if im using my bretts well one well placed trebuchet shot made them move in reverse after killing a few and if he does get close thankfully i have some fairly tuff knights to deal with them as well.

4 Leadbelchers with a stand and shoot reaction would work well as long they dont misfire.

If you are careful with deployment and manage to get 2 bolt throwers on the extreme outside of your deployment zone with a clear line of sight across the battlefield that might do it. If you get a single bolt off through the flank of the unit it can be devastating.
If you are going to go the magic route, Lore of Metal works beautifully. Using Spirit of the Forge is completely devastating for a unit that is heavily armored.

I dont think Ive played against them in any of my games. But if they're anything like those squishy Dragon Princes, a gobbo with spiked wings crashing into them usually makes short work.
It seems like the general consensus is not to let them get into combat with you. Shoot everything you have at them, and if that fails, just as they're about to charge, pick the models up and throw them across the room. At worst, you wont have to face them for a while

Since they're Mike's they've all broken and are probably just empty bases anyway, no harm done. haha
