Those of you who have tried to attach images to your posts know what a pain in the butt the default forum software is.  I've enabled the upload image feature of the editor we're using for posts and it's MUCH nicer.  For one thing instead of just displaying all the images at the end of the post it actually inserts them into the post so you can have text around them and move them around etc.

Just click on the image button (looks a little bit like a mountain with a yellow sky, next to the anchor), then click on the Upload tab, pick your file and click 'Send it to the Server'.  It will then take you back to the first tab where you can just hit OK to put the image into your post.

Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

I tried again last night to post pics and it was the same problem as before. I went to the pretty little box of the yellow sky behind the beautiful mountains... and the same Latin BS!!!!!

I opened a new topic, clicked on the pretty landscape, then went to upload. I then browsed for the pic I wanted, then hit "send to server" which resulted in nothing. So I click OK at the bottom then it brings me to the Latin page asking me something about entering the proper URL. Lol, but I can now edit and make new topics!!!! We're making progress!!!

Hmm... works fine for me. The latin stuff will always be there, it's just to show you how your image will look. But I don't see any files from you on the actual server so it doesn't look like the file actually uploaded.

Depending on the size of the image you're uploading it may take a few minutes. Once the file is successfully transferred you should get a little pop up box saying the file was uploaded. Did you see that?

Haha, ok I think I stumbled upon the way to upload. Now I just need to shrink the images first somehow... it seems just a little too big

Ya your file is 1.5MB, that's pretty large. Wink

If you don't have any software for doing that already, download GIMP, it's pretty easy to use and it's almost as powerful as photoshop.
