Any interest in a new competition?  With the cold weather approaching I imagine people will start having more time available.

You're simply the next meal for my carnosaur.

sounded like there was a lot of interest at last nights meeting about the painting competition. I know that Brad voiced his opinion that it should just be a free for all paint a model of your choice. I personally think that the themes are a great way to do the painting competitions. I think that they allow the models to be fairly judged across the board. I also think we should come up with maybe a more granular way of marking them, and by that I mean a way to provide feedback to the participants on what they need to improve or what they did that was awesome. This way we can learn from each of the competitions. The last ones that we did were great, but I feel we didn't get any real feedback other than model A was better than model B, and model C was better than model A. I would love to have more feedback on the work that was done in order to improve. After all I think that is why we are all taking part.

What do the rest of you think?
Theme the competition like we were before?
Find a way to provide more feedback?
Have you seen a good judging system out there?

I'd definitely like a way to get more constructive feedback, I know I'm always looking for ways to improve my painting. I suggested the free-for-all just to have as a low an entry barrier as possible to get lots of people involved. But I'm definitely open to themes as well, I just may have to paint a tyranid, I'm running out of fantasy models. lol

Could go with a loose theme and go with 'any core troop model' or something.
