GW has posted for pre-order.  The rulebook will be $90 or if you want a special edition copy be ready to shell out $150!  Ouch!  Hopefully J&J's will have the price around $70-75.

You're simply the next meal for my carnosaur.

Cause I really have no interest in buying a $90 hardcover rulebook on its own. The mini rulebook is all i need, and if the boxset is around $100 ill take the miniatures (well i hope it has orcs and goblins, as that would be ideal for me).

Current rumour is Skaven and High Elves. Sounds like we'll probably find out for sure in August sometime. It's been rumoured that the mini rulebook won't have all the new scenarios in it.

Came across this video. It's showcasing the new gadgets you can buy but I found it interesting when you see the units sizes and the movement in use.

From what I understand those items are plastic. I'd totally buy that compass if it was metal.

Sounds like of the 500+ pages, less than 200 are rules.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQ_x-EGCXdk A video showing a sample game using some of the new rules (for fast cav, magic and shooting). From what i can see shooting is going to become HUGE. Always being able to fire in 2 ranks, as well as the volley fire rule is going to be nasty! Also magic seems to have been nerfed a little bit. Really nasty spells but the generating of magic/dispel dice will no longer make it reliable at all.

Yeah charging dwarfs who always fight in 2 ranks, with better shooting... good times. I feel woodelves are going to get killed. Now you need 2 ranks to negate rank bonuses, as well as fighting in 2 ranks/step up for causalities is going to make it tough for the tree huggers.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing how my Tomb Kings will be affected more than my Dwarfs. Suddenly a huge block of skeletons with spears could actually do some damage if I can throw down 20-30 S3 attacks. Not too mention that the skeleton bowmen will get the same shots BEFORE magic that they used to get AFTER magic! Big Grin

yeah.. I feel that all S3 missile weapons will seem a little better now that they will have numbers on their side. Increasing the number of shots they get will only mean that the effectiveness should be increased.
